A word about the limits of BML IT resources in support your personal computer (non university property):
We take NO responsibility for equipment failures or data loss EVEN if you ask us to assist you with your computer. As always, back up your critical data to another device. We CANNOT troubleshoot hardware and software problems on your personal computer (Please do not ask!). We may be able to direct you to a service agent who can assist you. We CAN advise you of software license requirements. We CANNOT provide you with software you for which you do not have a license. We CANNOT promise to archive data that you store on our file servers. Once your affiliation with BML has terminated, it is your responsibility to make arrangements for your data, take it with you or get it into the proper hands BEFORE you leave. |
