Detecting Endocrine Disruption in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta

Field Assistant - Ecotoxicology

This position is ideal for an individual with interest in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Science, Ecology, and/or Fisheries Management.  

Duties involve:

  • Assisting with the collection of small fish via beach seine from Suisun Marsh
  • Placement/collection of outplanted cages for field exposures
  • Data collection & recording
  • Assistance with boat operation
  • Sample processing

Prior boating and/or field experience is not required but desirable.  Time commitment would be a maximum of one day per week for between 6-8 hours during spring & summer 2009.  

This is a volunteer position.  UCD Students may receive class credit for their time.
