BML-UC DAVIS DIVING PROGRAM

SCUBA COURSES AVAILABLE AT UC DAVIS

UC Davis offers scuba instruction on campus from the introductory level through scientific diver during each academic year.

Campus diving classes are offered through Exercise Science department and units may be earned. Prospective divers must be UCD staff, or registered students, extension or concurrent enrollment students.

A broad range of specialties including altitude, drysuit, rescue, enriched air, emergency care, boat operator/seamanship, and others are offered as workshops on an as needed basis.

Diving leadership-level courses (Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, Instructor prep) are available for diving program staff.

 

UCD is a recognized training facility for the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), YMCA Scuba, American Nitrox Divers International (ANDI), American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), and the Diver's Alert Network (DAN).

UCD is an Organizational Member of the American Academy of Underwater Science (AAUS) and follows the Academy's standards for scientific diving and intercampus diver reciprocity. More information about the AAUS is available at http://www.aaus.org/.
